The PSA Project challenged filmmakers to cold call an Atlanta-based non-profit organization, work with them to create a 30 or 60 second broadcastable PSA, create full sound design and/or original music, and donate the finished product to their organization.

Commercial Producer/ Production Manager Linda Burns and 18 filmmakers began the three-month workshopping process, and eight filmmakers graduated with completed PSAs for their nonprofit agencies. The filmmakers and their organizations are:

  • Raymond Carr - The Center for Puppetry Arts
  • Kathy Skinner - Kate's Club
  • Vinnie Murphey & Sister Smith - Out of Hand Theater
  • Maxwell Guberman - Citizens for Progressive Transit
  • Amy Jackson and Mark Burch - PAWS Atlanta
  • Tim Habegar - The Teen Ensemble at New Street Arts
  • JD Taylor - Georgia River Network
  • John Pruner - Moving in the Spirit

Each screening will host a Q & A with the filmmakers, as well as a short presentation from each organization explaining their mission and volunteer opportunities.

The Dailies Project, in association with PushPush Theater, unites filmmakers to explore their craft through community and creation. Dailies hosts four or more quarterly filmmaking challenges each year with a central theme, image, story idea, style/genre, or other set of "rules" that unifies all the work.
